Depicting the human figure is an endless process.  The pieces evolve slowly as I learn a little bit
from each one.  My images are not portraits.  They are anonymous figures taken out of their
contexts and left to be interpreted by their stance.  Light and motion are meant to be
exaggerated but still believable, with the texture being the most contemporary element of the
paintings. The paint is heavily applied, layered, and carved out in places, bur never smoothed.
This helps show the process of its creation.  The motion usually implies that the figure is
reacting to something, but it is up the viewer to decide which emotions are driving that reaction
